Mexico Specialist

My travel expertise centers around Mexico and the Caribbean, where I have traveled extensively. I have a Temporary resident visa in Mexico and have been a part-time resident of Puerto Vallarta for three years, so I am able to book unique experiences for my guests. When I am in residence, I often join clients for dinner or a cocktail. In addition, I have completed classes offered by local tourism offices and with many of the cruise lines that visit Mexico and the Caribbean. I am a specialist in Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta travel, and for many of the islands. When I'm not traveling elsewhere, I split my time between Puerto Vallarta and Omaha, Nebraska.

I savor new experiences -- isn't that the point of travel? I fell in love with Mexico the first time I visited. Formerly in the restaurant business, I know the importance of customer service, and that carries over to my current career as a travel advisor. I had frequently recommended destinations and helped friends with their trip planning, so when the opportunity to become a travel advisor presented itself, I grabbed it!

I particularly like working with families or groups of all ages who want unforgettable Mexico or Caribbean travel experiences filled with fun and distinctive experiences. In addition, I can help anyone who is interested in purchasing property in Mexico, and I am affiliated with several real estate professionals who send clients to me to book what they like to call "real estate investors' vacation packages."

I make sure I know the areas I am booking. I still travel regularly, not only to places I have been before, but also to new destinations. I am now taking "fact-finding" trips to Mediterranean destinations that I believe my clients would enjoy. I love to check out new restaurants and local spots, and I always try to be well-informed about the places I book for clients.

I always try to anticipate any problems that might arise, but when a glitch occurs, I find an inventive solution to the problem. One time I planned a trip with clients who insisted on making their own airline arrangements. At the last minute, they realized that they had booked their flights a day earlier than the trip we had planned. I was able to find them a boutique hotel for one night at our destination at a reasonable price, and the hotel manager even provided complimentary dinners for the couple. Problem solved!

One time I booked an Easter vacation visit to Puerto Vallarta for clients who previously had booked several cruises with me. I found them an ocean-view room right in the heart of old-town Puerto Vallarta, and arranged several evening excursions for them, as well as making reservations at a few of the most-loved restaurants in town. I met them soon after they had checked in at the hotel and followed up during their stay. On their last night in town, we went out to dinner, and they told me it was the best vacation they had taken. I believe it's the personal touches that contribute to my success.
